Blackmoor, Oakhanger & Selborne

Hamilton-Baillie Associates are commissioned by Selborne Parish Council to advice on a strategy for addressing the concern of residents and local businesses about increasing traffic in these three villages and their surrounding rural roads. Proposed major developments in Bordon, Liss and Alton are likely to significantly impact on these fragile historic settlements.

The review includes a critical analysis of the Transport Assessment for the Bordon development, prepared by Amey, together with a review of the strategic transport assessment prepared by WSP. Neither of these planning documents seems likely to adequately guide Hampshire County Council as highway authority, nor East Hampshire District Council as planning authority, in preparing appropriate remedial work.

The finall presentation of overall  principles and recommended approaches was presented by Ben Hamilton-Baillie in Selborne Village Hall, on 23rd June 2014. A summary report on the scheme is available as a free download on the Selborne Parish website, and here.
